We are happy to welcome Nancy Painter to Ladner United as she leads our congregation while Rev. Lydia Ruenzel is away on maternity leave. Many of you know her from her work at St. Stephens and Peninsula United while she is new to others. We hope that you will join us in welcoming her with open arms as we start this journey together.
Nancy Painter is a candidate in the United Church of Canada’s Designated Lay Ministry program, which combines academic learning, practical experience and reflection on that experience. Some of you may know her as a former member of St. Stephen’s East Delta, or from the nine years she and her family lived in Tsawwassen when they first moved to B.C. from Manitoba in 1994. She remains a prairie farmer at heart, because that’s where God first spoke to her. She’s looking forward to seeing old friends again and meeting new ones as part of the Ladner UC community of faith.
